"The Government have clearly sent the message to Shell, ‘you can do whatever you want’. Fortunately due to protest, the refinery remains unconnected to the gas field. If, as Shell planned, gas had been flowing by now, we would potentially all be dealing with a gas leak and explosion.”
Kerry Shell to Sea solidarity held a public information stall in Tralee town centre on Saturday 8th May. Despite some very nasty weather, public interest and support was tremendous. Petition forms were rapidly filled and many people walked away with leaflets in their hands and 'Shell to Sea' stickers affixed to their chests. Many thanks to those who lent their support and to Tadhg and Louise for campaign material.
