"The government has relinquished control over the offshore areas of our industry. Norway was tough regarding oil companies from the start. You now have an almost embarrassingly large pension fund. The situation for Irish communities, however, is as in Ogoniland in Nigeria - oil is a curse,”
Kerry Shell to Sea solidarity held a public information stall in Tralee town centre on Saturday 8th May. Despite some very nasty weather, public interest and support was tremendous. Petition forms were rapidly filled and many people walked away with leaflets in their hands and 'Shell to Sea' stickers affixed to their chests. Many thanks to those who lent their support and to Tadhg and Louise for campaign material.
