ccording to the QRA (Quantitative Risk Assessment) issued by Shell the pressure in the Corrib pipeline will be up to 345 bar. Mr Dempsey says that a person will be safe 200 feet away from this. In Carlsbad New Mexico, in August 2000, a clean gas pipeline ruptured at 45 bar pressure and incinerated 12 people 676 feet away. Is Minister Dempsey mad?
