Campaigners to call for international inquiry into policing of Corrib protests

Shell to Sea will hold a press conference at 11.30 a.m. on Thursday (7th April) to call for an independent international inquiry into policing of protests around the Corrib Gas project.
Speaking at the press conference will be one of the two women who was arrested last Thursday by Gardai who are at the centre of the controversy over remarks about rape.
Among the other speakers will be Socialist Party leader Joe Higgins TD, who is backing the call for an independent international inquiry.
Other speakers have yet to be confirmed.
