[Shell to Sea]  Shell and Statoil are currently carrying out Seismic surveys off the Mayo coast.  In this video Norwegian fisherman Bjørnar Nicolaisen warns of the consequences that "seismic shootings" has had on marine life and the fishing industry when it was carried out in Norway.  Fishing catches reduced by 60% in the year after the seismic surveys started and still hasn't returned to normal levels.

Bjørnar Nicolaisen talks about "seismic shooting" and how this method of searching for oil and gas threatened to destroy the fishing industry of his hometown of Lofoten until Bjørnar and his comrades organised a campaign to stop the practice.

Bjørnar Nicolaisen is a fisherman who is the secretary of Norwegian fishermen's union Andøy Fiskarlag.

Bjørnar Nicolaisen, a Norwegian fisherman visiting Erris in June 2012, discusses his experience of oil and gas exploration in northern Norway and how it has affected fishing there. He also discusses Statoil and his impressions of the Corrib Gas project
