The State also does not take an ownership stake in the field or demand royalties. Thus on this basis, Ireland's tax regime is generous in comparison to that of other countries. "

This is a photo taken of Shell's drilling plaforms in Sruwaddacon estuary which were taking samples for the tunnell that Shell seek to construct for 5km up the estuary. A walkout to stop the drilling work is taking place.
On the left leg of the platform, a person can be seen climbing up the leg, while on the right IRMS security are attempting to stop a ladder being brought to the area.
