"The Government have clearly sent the message to Shell, ‘you can do whatever you want’. Fortunately due to protest, the refinery remains unconnected to the gas field. If, as Shell planned, gas had been flowing by now, we would potentially all be dealing with a gas leak and explosion.”
There will be a weekend of Direct Action workshops held on the Halloween Bank Holiday weekend at the Rossport Solidarity Camp. It will be held on the newly set-up winter camp in Aughoose.

The weekend is hoped to be pretty informal but workshops will included:

- Blockading techniques
- Legal workshop
- Community views on direct action
