Approximately 100 people protested in Enniskillen today over proposals to use the gas exploration method known as 'fracking' in Ireland.
An estimated 100 people attended an event in Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh, today to protest over proposals to use the gas exploration method known as 'fracking' in Ireland.
An Australian company, Tamboran Resources, said recently there could be up to 40 years of gas reserves in the northwest.
A number of private companies, including Tamboran, are keen to investigate the viability of mining gas resources in areas on both sides of the border.
Environmental groups today pledged to co-ordinate their efforts in opposition to the mining companies.
