Campaigners walk Shell's pipeline route to highlight Coillte sale
-- National Walk in the Woods Day event in Co. Mayo --

At 3pm on Sunday the 9th of June over thirty campaigners walked the route of Shell’s Corrib gas pipeline in Aughoose Co. Mayo. The route consists of 3km of destroyed Coillte forestry between Shell’s tunnelling launch pit and the dormant Corrib gas refinery at Bellanaboy.

In Mayo, Shell are attempting to build a 5km tunnel under Sruwaddacon Estuary to bring in a high pressure raw gas pipe to their inland refinery.
They are having considerable difficulties with the tunnel.  It's time to add to those difficulties.  Come to the Rossport Solidarity Camp week of action from the 21st to 30th of June.
